Who I Work With
I work with people who find themselves stuck in patterns and narratives that have worked for them in the past but are finding that they no longer serve them. We may work well together if you are navigating the impacts of complex trauma, low self-esteem and self-worth, or a sense of disconnection from yourself and those around you. We explore not only what you are noticing in the present moment but also how this moment came to be for you so that we can loosen the grip of these patterns on you.
Working Together
My goal as a therapist is to create a supportive, collaborative, and safe space for you to explore your experiences. I stay curious rather than make assumptions about you or your story. Your feelings, patterns, and behaviors make sense once we understand where they come from and the purpose they have served for you. Our work together begins with recognizing and accepting. From there, we move towards building an authentic life that feels aligned with who you are.

My Approach
I offer a holistic approach to healing that is humanistic and person-centered. This includes interventions such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), self-compassion, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). An important part of our work is the therapeutic relationship itself, with feelings that arise in session often mirroring those in relationships outside of it. I also depathologize mental health care by recognizing that what you are struggling with are often adaptive measures shaped by trauma and social environments.
A Bit About Me
Before becoming a therapist, I had a corporate career that left me feeling unfulfilled in my work. I decided to shift to therapy as a result of the impact that therapy has had on me and my desire to share that with others. I have since provided therapy within the Trauma Recovery Center network in California and at Santa Monica College. I live in Los Angeles, where outside of therapy I am diving into arts and crafts, catching a film at a local theater, or reading a book alongside my cat, Nori.
I offer a free phone consultation if you are interested in working together and exploring if there is a fit.
